Working Conditions and Morbidity in Bulgarian Healthcare Professionals

This study presents the current results from a targeted study on leading disabilities in medical professionals for the Republic of Bulgaria. Scientific tools are used, which include the general methodology for obtaining consolidated data from EUROSTAT, EC. In this context, the study is based on work and environmental factors - risk and sanogenic. The model of Dahlgren-Whitehead and ICF was applied in objectifying the relation between the personality with its determinants of individual and constitutional characteristics, harmful habits and habitudes to the lifestyle and work environment and against the background of the general socio - economic conditions. An Electronic Health Integrated Dossier created by the authors and applied in Bulgaria and its implementation in an Integrated Information System are used. The results and the facts about the morbidity of medical workers at the current stage of the COVID 19 pandemic obtained are important in risk assessment and plans to combat Sars-CoV-2. The study is of interest to a wide range of public health workers, control health inspectorates, occupational medicine services, and medical expertise.
