Women's representation in leadership positions

The representation of women in leading positions within the Uruguayan trade unionism in 2018 addresses the participation of women in representative positions, both in the Central Sindical de Trabajadores (PIT-CNT) and in the affiliated unions that comprise it in Uruguay.A brief analysis is made of the theoretical framework and the history of the PIT-CNT, the practical difficulties that have been surveyed and the vision of some women in representative positions involved in the process, taking into account their life trajectories. With the objective of identifying the obstacles in the access of women workers to positions of power in the Uruguayan trade union leadership.Based on the aforementioned, a conclusion of the author's vision on this subject is elaborated.
