Women, Children and War

Women and children have experienced serious and grotesque human rights violations during brutal civil wars in Africa and the world at large which has claimed thousands of live. Equally, hundreds of thousand became refugees or displaced throughout the region thereby exposing them to all forms of physical and psychological victimization and disorders. This book reveals that the victims of war suffer multiple assaults of sexual abuse, torture, abduction, family separation, force recruitment, force displacement and drug abuse; it therefore tries to bring out solutions to some of the prominent problems faced by the victims with some recommendations and conclusion.
