Why Do People Utilize Agent Banking?

Indonesia is a country with huge population in the world. National program to increase financial inclusion, popular known as Laku Pandai (Layanan Keuangan Tanpa Kantor Dalam Rangka Keuangan Inklusif). It is a branchless financial service for financial inclusion initiated by Indonesia Financial Service Authority in 2014. This book was written to explore more around the program with study case its implementation in Bali, Indonesia. The book is scientific works as it was based on the author research in 2018. Why people used agent banking is research question with the phenomenon the number of agent banking opened were not followed by number of customers as expected respectively. References were made based on the theoretical review and study various research around branchless banking in many developing countries. The result founded from the study was how important benefit of product offered by agents and keep trust of the customer using agent banking. Customer education plays important role to boost and strengthening the usage regularly. It is believed by the existence of the program has contributed significantly the improvement of financial inclusion index in Indonesia.
