This book highlights on how domestic waste is treated from generation to disposal in a typical Ghanaian community. The fact was established that about 70% of the diseases and ailments that affect a typical Ghanaian indigenous community was sanitation related. The author who has a keen interest in public health therefore chose to investigate this assertion. For his Masters degree, the author made an assessment of solid domestic waste management in the Afigya Sekyere (now Sekyere South) district of the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
