Wage Determination, Wage Dispersions and Wage Policy

This book focuses on three aspects of wage issues. First, wage system in the Chinese Professional Baseball League(CPBL) is unable to support the predictions of monitoring cost clearly. Our empirical evidence suggests that the CPBL normally adopts the salary payment scheme rather than the piece rate payment scheme, even though the players¿ on-field performance can be accurately and easily observed. Second, individual¿s characteristic variables are always significant when I employ the fixed and random effects model. The results in salary structure in a team are more in line with 'tournament'.
