Vision of Education in Sufism

The book focuses on the vision of education of sufi school of thought. Sufi school has performed a vital role in promoting peace and education. In the Indo-Pak subcontinent,a number of sufis promoted the cause of education and, through their magnetic personalities, changed the ruined lives of countless people.The Sufis focused on the teaching learning process in Islamic perspectives. The objectives of education were to prepare the students in all dimensions and to bring them in a position to face the incoming challenges.Sufis paid special attention on the acquisition of education. The sufi traditions in the Indo-Pak Subcontinent always promoted the process of teaching and learning to enhance the wisdom in Islamic perspectives to explore the mysteries of nature and to become nearer to Allah.For this purpose, they established the education institutes, formulated the objectives and content of education. Their was a specific criteria for getting admissions in the Sufis institutions of learning. Sufis had wonderfully discussed the characteristics of good teachers and students and explained the assessment procedure for students.
