Various Flux Enhancement Techniques in a membrane separation processes

Membrane separations are one of the latest techniques widely used in industries in recent years. Its efficiency, low requirement of energy and possibility of hybrid processes makes it better than the conventional processes. A large number of studies have been devoted to flux enhancement of NF, such as hydraulic flushing, air Sparging, membrane cleaning, turbulent promoters, ultrasonic irradiation and selection and modification of membrane. The book reveals the description of various flux enhancement techniques along with application of two flux enhancement techniques namely Flow reversal and pressure pulsation and their impact on the membrane separation processes with detail description of application industrially as well as on commercial basis.
