Variability Study of Albugo Candida Isolates & Their Host Differentials

The book will help in transferring information regarding the occurrence of pathotypes and will also be helpful in identification of new genes for resistance effective against existing virulent pathogen. Screening of varieties/genotypes against different races of A. candida will also give clue about quality of resistance genes (strong or weak) which in turn can be utilized for breeding resistant cultivars. There is also an urgent need for the selection/development of host differentials for the identification of A. candida isolates as we are lacking a known set of host differentials. Differential hosts are sets of plant cultivars used to define races of plant pathogens based on known susceptible and resistant reactions and are being used for the identification of pathogen races.
