Larger proportions of farmers have reported there is lack of improved variety and efficient processing device in the area. Development and dissemination of improved varieties and efficient processing devices is essential in increasing the productivity of Enset as well as processing capacity. Given that farmers are small-scale and unorganized in the study area, this state of affairs clearly needs strong government intervention. Effort should also be made to encourage farmers¿ cooperative to engage in supplying input, processing (value addition) and marketing of Enset products; and encourage collective action of farmers.
