Valproic acid induced thrombocytopenia

Epilepsy has a wide variety of clinical syndromes. The etiologies, presentations and prognoses are different in this disease. Accurate diagnosis is critically important for the proper care, proper treatment. Antiepileptic medications have offered patients better tolerability, but unfortunately, no significant improvements in overall seizure control have been afforded. Many epileptic conditions remain intractable to currently available medications. The goal of this book to help students, healthcare professionals and parents of epileptic children who take valproic acid to understand the main side effect of the drug which we often see in our practice ¿thrombocytopenia and the ways how they can prevent it.
