Utilization of fertilizer by the farmer

This book is on the survey of utilization of fertilizers by the farmer. For this survey Kale village in Satara district, was chosen as the study area. Around 100 farmers were involved in this study. For this study primary data was collected through questionnaire method. For the collection of data various types of questions were designed. These all questions were circulated among farmers and information is collected. Secondary data was taken from internet. Research papers were used to get information. Then data analysis was done with the help of tables and charts. Through data analysis many things were found out such that farmers are not aware about use of fertilizers. They don¿t get organic fertilizers easily in market. Farmers have use of chemical fertilizers only. They were not interested in organic farming. To get high yield chemical fertilizer usage were more. From the findings various suggestions are given. Such as conducting awareness about use of fertilizers, importance of organic farming. It is necessary to test the soil before fertilizer usage. It was concluded that there is lot of scope for reducing the overuse of fertilizers.
