¿Inventory Control¿ plays a major role in fulfilling the patients¿ satisfaction through better service conditions by controlling management scientifically.Thus Inventory Control provides an effective and thereby an efficient consummation of drug items and also all other items essential for smooth functioning of hospital like sundries, equipments, stationeries, linen etc. However, study is made of only drugs in a homoeopathic store. Analysis of homoeopathic store was conducted to identify the drugs category wise i.e. ABC analysis based on cost criteria, VED based on criticality of the items & FSN based on consumption pattern. This will helps us to avoid under stocking of vital and essential drugs and overstocking of slow moving drugs. It also narrow down the required inventories which helps to serve more number of patients with the existing drug budget. It can also saving approx. 20-30% cost of Annual Drug Expenditure.
