Using Bioinformatics to develop Village Information System

This book includes the details regarding development of Village Information System based on Bioinformatics, GIS and Ground data from Villages and Tehsils in Taluka. Bitvillage is a prototype of first VIS for Gujarat State in India with background data received from Gram Panchayat of Rajpara, a small village near to Rajkot City. The basic difficulty with Village information system is to get data into perfect manner for future usage. Along with that, the personnel needed to manage this data using specialized database. The proper guidance and involvement of farmers has been initially help us to designed the complete GIS based IVIS. The prediction and yield calculator is also very nicely mentioned to get better understanding to develop same VIS for future researcher with more profound applications in the field of Agriculture and Sustainable developments.
