Use of waste for the production of composites

In times of population and industrial growth, waste disposed of without treatment and inappropriately by households and businesses is one of the main causes of soil and water contamination. Such waste accumulated in open places remains for long periods of time, which may or may not fully degrade, contaminating the environment and attracting various animals, besides promoting the proliferation of fungi and bacteria. A more noble destination consists in the reuse of such residues, such as for the production of fertiliser and energy, or even the use as raw material for a new product. This material shows the transformation of industrial and construction waste to obtain a new composite with insulating properties, with greater economic value and less environmental impact.
