Use of simulation in SCM context of Swedish manufacturing industries

According to published global rankings, Sweden has the second competitive industrial environment in the world and therefore Swedish manufacturing industries are starving for improvement and excellency in their daily operations. Supply chain is a critical part of any industry and management of product flow among different divisions has a high importance. Simulation is a great tool for supply chain managers to review their chain operation under different circumstances. Estimation of time, cost and revenue can be determined by simulation and shed light to different options in advance. This book is the first step to realize what had been done so far in this area and finding the shortages. Author hopes that this research paves the road for future studies in which some solutions be presented for these shortages.
