Use Of E-Resources

Library and Information Science (LIS) is sometimes used; most librarians consider it as only a terminological variation, intended to emphasize the scientific and technical foundations of the subject, and its relationship with information science.Every library, irrespective of its size and type, acquires, processes, and makes available library material for use by the library users. Based on the acquired material, libraries offer various services to their respective users. E-resources in collaboration with Internet have become a sign of modern age being an invaluable tool for teaching, learning, and research. The present decade has been dubbed as the information age. While this concept is not a new phenomenon especially when viewed against its historical perspective, the revolution in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), and particularly the internet, is exerting profound effects on information-based services.
