Use of Brick Aggregate in Pavement Construction

Use of weak aggregates in pavement construction has been a subject of interest world over, as it reduces cost and pressure on good quality aggregates. The basic objectives of writing this text book are: 1. To provide a basic book on construction with brick aggregates in pavement construction. 2. To develop comprehensive understanding of pavement construction with brick aggregate 3. To stimulate learning and research abilities for research scholars and students in the area of construction of pavement using brick as aggregate. This book investigates a type of weak aggregate obtained from ordinary brick and over burnt brick to study its applicability in construction of sub-base course of flexible pavements and also to study the feasibility of using over-burnt bricks in lean cement concrete mixes and surface layer of pavement as PCC.
