URBAN-RURAL MOBILITY IN TAI SUB-PREFECTURE

The sub-prefecture of Taï in Côte d'Ivoire offers significant natural potential for agriculture, which is its economic strength, and the presence of the Taï National Park (TNP) makes it an international destination. In spite of its potential, the sub-prefecture is confronted with insufficient means of transportation due to the lack of communication routes. The rainy seasons, although important for agriculture, become moments of fear because of the roads that are not paved. Indeed, the major consequences of heavy rains are the degradation of roads, which makes them impassable. The populations are thus confronted with difficult conditions of displacement; which has an impact on the socio-economic plan.
