Urban Road Traffic and Climate Change

Climate change science has been well documented. While much of this science relies on evidence of the climate change occurrence, modelling urban road traffic induced climate change approach is to think globally but act locally. Urban road traffic with massive use of fossil fuels worldwide is significant and individual studies are required to quantify the amount of CO2 comes from this sector. In addition to evaluating the current situation of road traffic, mitigation plans can be examined through different scenarios. This book explores the existing situation of road traffic contribution to climate change in an English city and then systematically defines and models some of the most important options for the future.
