Urban Problems of Indian Cities: A Case of Jabalpur City

The urbanization has created many opportunities for its residents but it also has many side effects. It is certainly not a blessing for everyone. Those who living in metropolitan cities of developing countries like India are facing multiple urban problems. The intensity of these problem may varies from one city to another but their nature is largely remains same. This study is an effort to identify these problems in a metropolitan city of central India. Jabalpur City which is located at the heart of the country is facing similar problems that are common in other parts of the world. The city is an ideal representative of metropolitan cites with multiple environmental and social problems.
