Unleashing the Energy. An Insight into Self-awareness

Self-awareness is critical to have a comprehensive understanding of all the emotions that an individual goes through and the way it impacts one's personal and professional life. It also helps to gain an insight into the underlying reasons of the various emotions that an individual experiences at any given point of time. Self-awareness,as a competency is vital to create a positive emotional climate encompassing extra efforts and as a technique of motivation.Self-awareness is the least visible of all Emotional Intelligence competencies but always considered the most important one, as it lays the foundation for all other competencies to develop,especially when it comes to social skills and relationship management. The present study delves into the self-awareness of millennial women executives in IT sector who are currently the "Rising Stars on the Horizon".The target group for the study comprises well educated young women employed in the Information Technology sector of Bengaluru - The IT Hub of India.
