Most of the materials included in this book attempt to describe the structure and behavior of the free atmosphere which are useful in explaining certain mesoscale climatic phenomena over tropical Africa. It is also helpful for meteorology students. The main challenges in the preparation of this report have been the data issues (i.e. the availability of chosen material to support the analysis). The limitations have not necessarily weakened the work, in terms of achieving the targeted objectives. We are appreciate the support received from the funding Agencies.
