Pyrimidine and its derivatives exhibiting pharmacological and therapeutic properties such as anti-inflammatory, antiviral, antibacterial, antitumor, calcium channel antagonist, antihypertensive and anticancer activities etc have attracted interest in medicinal chemistry.
