Treatment planning Anterior Implants

The anterior maxilla presents with unique challenges for the implant dentist that is placing and restoring implants in the region. Because patients show their anterior teeth and varying amounts of soft tissue when they smile, anterior implant restorations have to look as natural as possible and blend with adjacent teeth and restorations. The goal of this book is to review some key considerations that are essential for implant esthetic success as well as provide a risk assessment for the anterior maxilla that identifies factors that could impact implant success as well as ways of addressing them to ensure that the chances of success are not impeded. It also reviews guidelines regarding positioning of implants as well as bone and soft tissue concepts that impact the esthetic success of dental implants.
