Trauma in South-Asian Literature

Though nobody ever intends to get ensnared in the trauma of any kind, we, the people of the world in general, of South-Asia in particular, have been unwillingly or willingly, intentionally or unintentionally, and consciously or unconsciously trapped to experience trauma and distressful emotion provoked by some painful or shocking events or witnessing violence, increasing discrimination on people in terms of race, religion, nationality, poverty, and political turmoil. The book is an attempt to delineate how trauma is presented in different literary genres, especially in the literary fictions of the South-Asian world. The book, therefore, stands as a strong reference to all the readers, researchers who aim to make further study and investigation in the trauma literature.
