The dearth of materials and texts in transportation planning has been a driving force in the writing of this book. Equally the existence of good quality road network influences the socio-economic development of such areas. The greater percentage of the unpaved road infrastructure in the area this lead to poor accessibility of settlements and not good for socio-economic development.
