Training Children with Specific Learning Disorder

Lately, increased attention has been posed to Motivation, School Adjustment and their connection to Specific Learning Disorder. This book attempts to present theory, research, and practical issues related to motivation and school adjustment. A synopsis of current theories in the field is presented, emphasizing to Self-Control, Self-Regulation and Self-Management. More specifically, the focal point is posed to the development of motivation and school adjustment in typical classroom and interaction of children diagnosed with SLD with their peers. Educational approaches can include differentiated instructional strategies, behavioral strategies (including systematic reward systems), student-centered approaches and small group teaching.
