To assess the relationship between HLOC and oral health

Health is one of the many areas in which there has been a significant amount of interest in relating locus of control beliefs to a variety of relevant behaviors.Locus of control refers to an individual's generalized expectations concerning where control over subsequent events resides.To assess the relationship between Health Locus of Control and oral health among 12-15 year old school going children in Bangalore city.The study sample comprised of 409 school children aged 12 ¿ 15 years . The 18 item structured questionnaire with Multidimensional health locus of control including demographics characteristics and Socio economic status was administered. Oral Hygiene Index Simplified and World Health Organization¿s dentition status was used to estimate oral hygiene and dental caries status.
