Time Performance in the Public Administration

The aim of our study is to analyze the effect of time discipline mechanisms on organizational performance. Therefore, the methodology proposed goes from an explanatory nature of the research, based on post positivism as research philosophy, the chosen research approach is deductive and quantitative, and the mix method strategy is based mainly on case study associated to literature research and structured interview.Selected theoretical framework will be based on the theories of time discipline by Thompson (1991, p. 370) according to which time keeping is the basis of modern world development and organizational performance. Methodological choices are in line with a cross sectional study then as data collection procedure, we selected survey questionnaire and structured interview. The novelty of this work is that it tends to demonstrate that if obviously time and discipline impact performance, there is a need to go above a simple statistical, rational and even cultural appraisal of time management to embrace an enlargement of aspects such as motivational leadership, organizational or administrative contingencies, sociology at large as well as the political dimension.
