Thyroid heath is a recognized public health issue. There are many pitfalls in different aspects of thyroid medicine. Our book describes our work for developing a tool to classify Thyroid Function status in diagnostic as well as in follow up settings. We used paired FT4 and TSH test report from single blood sample for this purpose. This tool is able to classified nine classes. Classes are of three different categories one represent reference population of normal function, four classes with fixed pattern of Thyro-pituitary control and 4 classes with variable Thyro-pituitary control status. FT4 and TSH are assayed by Chemiluminescent Micropartical Immunoassay in our laboratory. We published not only the normograms of both hormones of each class but also a flow chart of investigation, treatment and follow up on the basis of classification system. Therefore, it can be used by physician for their patient care. We have presented our data in histograms of each of hormone (n 20), scatter plots between the pair of hormone (n 40) and check boards to express the mean differences of between classes by t test (n 4) etc.
