Thermo Chemical Characterization of Non Edible Seed Cakes

This book will help the researchers to continue their research in the area of power generation and the effective utilization of non-edible seed cakes for the rural applications. By making use of waste materials such coconut shells, groundnut shells and wood chips we can generate thermal energy which can be used in our day to day activities such as cooking, drying, knitting etc., This book proves that by using non edible seed cake such as jatropha and castor seed cakes we can generate thermal power. Portable 2 kWe bio mass gasifier was fabricated and tested. Non edible seed cakes are not used to feed animals feed and it creates land pollution, etc., the non edible oils blended with diesel to operate vehicles. And the same time the utilization of fossil fuels could reduce. But after oil extraction the seed cakes were thrown because the utilization of seed cakes is too difficult. Hence the production of oils and the seed plantation is being decreased. Researchers are focusing the various utilization of seed cake. This research focused the utilization of non edible seed cakes using gasification method.
