There is a Crack in Everything

No exhibition begins on neutral ground. There Is a Crack in Everything embraces that condition, turning uncertainty into possibility. Conceived in a time of political fracture and institutional transformation, this publication grows out of the exhibition developed by museum director Barbara Cuglietta and guest curator Martin Germann at the Jewish Museum of Belgium, where twenty-eight contemporary artists transformed a museum suspended between closure and renewal into a site of encounter. Like the exhibition, it offers a free passage through layered histories, artistic practice and perspectives, tracing resonances between voices shaped by different geographies, traditions and political realities, where no single narrative prevails.
