The research aimed at exploring factors contributing to single mothers¿ vulnerability to HIV infection and at suggesting ways for supporting them to meet their basic needs and build awareness that could help them prevent themselves from HIV/AIDS. The study looked at the measures taken especially by the church towards supporting single mothers for the prevention of HIV/AIDS. The study used semi-structured interviews which were to bring qualitative data. These data were analysed and themes from interviewees related to the problem of single mothers¿ vulnerability to HIV/AIDS were developed and described.
