This study investigated the use of a selected self-assessment model on students who were studying A-level Biology. It aimed to document the effect of such a model on the attainment, motivation and confidence of twenty one students. The study compared these factors over two units of study and gathered quantitative data from the end of topic assessments as well as information from questionnaires to achieve this.
