The state of Venezuelan education

We offer in this opportunity, very important documentation on the state of education in Venezuela, in the period from 1830 to 1872. The documents were selected from the voluminous work: Memoria de la dirección general de estadística al Presidente de los Estados Unidos de Venezuela en 1873, published in Caracas by the Imprenta Nacional in 1873.The development of the text, then the Preliminary Warnings and a Preliminary Study entitled: Antonio Guzmán Blanco and Education, are followed by the sections: 1) Communication to the "Citizen Provisional President of the Republic"; 2) First Steps of Statistics after Independence; 3) Universities and Colleges; 4) Instruction and 5) Statistical Report of the Central University, 1872.
