The Proliferation of Daily Laborers in Wolaita Sodo Town

Masterarbeit aus dem Jahr 2020 im Fachbereich Soziologie - Arbeit, Beruf, Ausbildung, Organisation, , Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: The aim of this study was to assess the causes and consequences of the increasement of daily labor workers in Woliata zone, in case of street daily job seekers in Sodo Town. Also, this paper has benefits: It gives an indication of the major problem areas, it will be taken as data source for further studies on this field and it was helpful to decision makers, the community and local government to formulate strategies concerning the issue.

Research method used was qualitative and descriptive research design with cross-section study design was employed in the study. Therefore, the method or strategies of qualitative data collection methods: focus group discussion, observation, in-depth interview, key informant interview and life history were employed in this study. In addition sampling method of purposive, quota and snowball sampling method were employed in this study.
