The problem of peace through the teaching of philosophy

This book presents a meditation by Pernel Mbang Dim on the need to restore peace in schools through the teaching of philosophy. The aim is to remedy the lack of harmony in various secondary schools in Cameroon. The author starts from an inventory of the teaching of philosophy and the restoration of stability in the Cameroonian educational environment, to end up with its contribution (of philosophy) in the process of the search for peace. In this regard, the author advocates the intensification of the teaching of philosophy by emphasizing the initiation to critical thinking through reason, the inculcation of values and notions such as humility, justice, patriotism, love of life in community and living together. Thus, far from angelizing the relationships between people in schools, it is necessary to harmonize them humanly through philosophy.
