The practice of agroforestry,

Côte d'Ivoire, a country of forest and savannah, has been experiencing significant vulnerability of its bioclimatic conditions for over fifty years. Correlatively to climatic variability, we observe a modification in the dynamics of the vegetation cover. Since the 1960s, environmental modifications have been recorded in interaction with the strong spatial mobility of rural populations. This mobility of the populations will be characterized by a strong land pressure causing the scarcity of fertile lands. This situation of scarcity of fertile land will cause the need to restore the agronomic potential of cultivable soils. Thus, the practice of agroforestry in agricultural practices becomes necessary to restore the agronomic potential of cultivable soils. In fact, areas with high rainfall constitute areas of spatial growth and conquest for farmers who are in search of new forest space. This is the case of the classified forest of Bouaflé, which has since been subjected to all kinds of anthropic pressure.
