The playful material as a tool and its impact on learning

Mathematics is a self-sufficient microcosm, but it also has the capacity to reflect and model all thought processes and perhaps even the whole of science. It has been regarded as the most developed expression of rational thought concerning the external world, and also as a monument to man's desire to probe the workings of his own mind. The most characteristic theme of mathematics is infinity. Contrary to a widespread opinion among non-scientists, Mathematics is not a closed and perfect edifice; Mathematics is a science and it is also an art. (Mark Kac p. 7-12 1969).Thus, the present work used the ludic material as a tool to improve the significant learning of such an important and transcendental science. For which it was considered: on the one hand, the game with its strengths, observation, spatial intelligence, creativity, values, so that in this way the student acquires greater self-confidence; on the other hand, by using playful material that is in accordance with the topics of study, as a way of favoring the teaching-learning process in Mathematics in the First Year of High School.
