This study aimed to elucidate the oral cavity condition from the perspectives of oral functioning and the intra-oral environment and to analyze the association between the oral cavity condition and health-related quality of life. Furthermore, it analyzes an association between the oral cavity condition and nutritional status. In the present study, a survey was conducted using multiple evaluation methods, and the results have elucidated the current status of oral functions in community-dwelling dependent elderly persons in Japan. This study helps elderly people to improve the quality of their life.
