The New Researches In Zagros Mountain Belt, Iran

In terms of the tectonic,Zagros belt is one of the active zones of the Orogenic Belt of the Earth. This area is divided into several zones based on tectonic and geological features, One of these zones is the Zagros folded Belt. This Belt is considered the most active part of Zagros region due to it has the most shortening and earthquakes. Therefore the point of view of tectonically it should have a special place. If it is accepted that Euler's pole for moving Arabic plate to Iranian plate is in the Mediterranean Sea, And also the Arabic plate did not conjugate along the same line and simultaneously with the Arabic plate, The encounter in the northwest was earlier than the southeast, And that the edges of the Arabic plate are tooth-shaped, Therefore when colliding, it leads to the creation high topography in the Fars and Lorestan arc and the low topography in the Dezfull and Karkuk imbaiment it is followed up. By studying earthquakes, determining the focal mechanism, the focal depth of the earthquake in the folded belt, extracting of tensile joints along the anticline of the Southwest of Zagros mountain and their adaptation to the data obtained from the movement.
