The National Action Plan on Tobacco Industry Interference

Globally, there are resilient evidences corroborated, that the tobacco industry uses a comprehensive range of tactics to interfere with tobacco control. These strategies encompass direct and indirect influencing policy / decision makers, political lobbying and campaign contributions, financing of research, attempting to affect the course of regulatory and policy machinery and engaging in social responsibility initiatives as part of public relations campaigns. This book of national action plans on TI interference has been developed as one of important intervention of BI funded project of Tobacco Control Cell to assist & facilitate different government organs , institutions, provincial and district authorities and others relevant agencies to understand and manage the tactics of TI as required by our international commitments.
