The Nakuru Environment

It is widely recognized that it will be difficult to make meaningful progress towards making Nakuru City a habitable environment without documenting the current ecological status of Nakuru, environmental challenges, spirited efforts to make Nakuru a good place to live and do business. Even if MCN, NEMA, research institutions and other relevant lead agencies; play a pivotal role and perhaps bear the greatest responsibility for finding solutions, they cannot alone solve the environmental problems and challenges of the current situation in Nakuru Municipality alone. The involvement of wide range of stakeholders on environmental management in Nakuru is the only prerequisite for sustainable growth and development in Nakuru Town. Every person within the jurisdiction of the Council is entitled to clean and healthy environment and has the duty to safeguard and enhance the environment. The Nakuru Environment document issues in Nakuru that pose a challenging in sustainable development and growth of Nakuru city. It is my assumption that the users of TNE will appreciate the Nakuru Environment and take up the challenges therein to make Nakuru a city we want.
