The Man and The Machine: Humankind's fight with Computers

When I first started working in Occupational Health, little did I know that this is going to open such a Pandora's box. I tried to understand the various morbidities of the computer professionals, better known as Video Display Terminal Operators. Many of them are due to poor physical conditions they work in, known as bad ergonomics. This along with tedious working hours, repetition of work, and other harmful habits has cumulatively caused various types of problems among them. Unknowingly this is an epidemic time bomb ticking which needs to be addressed properly. I have also tried to incorporate some recommendations so that these workers can practise better ergonomics, and thus stay protected. This can be an invaluable resource for Video Display Terminal workers and Industries to help their workforce.
