The journey to democratization

However, there has been ongoing debate about whether the introduction of liberal democratic reforms could paradoxically lead to the resurgence of violent conflicts. Critics of this approach contend that democratization and the application of liberal democracy may contain conflictual elements, potentially triggering a return to violent conflict in post-conflict countries.
