The issues of translation studies

This book is devoted to the analysis of basic concepts and the problems of their interpretation in translation. The book consists of four chapters. The first chapter analyzes the concept of "translation strategy", considers the definition and content of this term, especially the stages of the translation strategy. The second chapter deals with the translation unit, the problems of allocation and classification of translation units. The third chapter explores questions of equivalence, the term "non-equivalent vocabulary", types of non-equivalent vocabulary, ways of translating them. In the fourth chapter, the purpose of the study is the problem of translatability of the text. The linguistic problems of translation, linguistic and extralinguistic factors affecting translation, the issues of choosing an equivalent in translation are also investigated.
