Through this book we would like to address the following issue: what are the main determinants and formal and informal aspects of the currency market in Algeria? In order to answer all these questions we have conducted a field study among black market operators in the region of Tazmalt. Our results show that the black market of currency coexists in the Algerian financial sphere. Its objective is to provide foreign currency to various economic actors.
