The Influence of School Location & Class Size on Academic Performance

This research work carefully and consistently investigated the roles school location and class size can play in the academic performance of students in high schools. The study concentrated on the basic high school subjects; namely Maths, Biology, and English Studies. The extent of impact of the location variable on the academic performance of students was well x-rayed as well as the degree of influence of the class size variable. The study favoured Williams parameter of class size which in turn hinges on the proximity of the school in relation to the residences of students. The material will therefore appeal to scholars, educational administrators and planners, and indeed the general education public.
