The Influence of Increased Upper Management Women on Corporate Culture

The number of women in business increases annually. Some countries have mandated an increase in the representation of women in upper management. Yet this increase is slow to come. Does the increased numbers of women in upper management affect corporate cultures or are they simply token appointments to pacify regulations mandated. Many questions still exist. The question of why the increase is slow to come still remains. Have women given up on trying or have accepted this fate and cease to struggle or are they making slower progress for some other reason? The findings in the study of 24 participants, 7 men and 17 women the top three themes were surprising. Based on the results further studies are indicated to delve deeper into the topic of the glass ceiling phenomenon and if women are actually making unimpeded progress or have given up trying.
